Obsession 101

The polka dots, the polka-dot mugs, the “say ahh” zaniness… I am never going to watch this show, but I am completely obsessed with it. Why? Because this “Mike” guy doesn’t realize that his life is actually a parody of every single character Fred Willard has ever played.
To wit:
And since Willard’s characters are parodies themselves, we’re in some strange Bermuda triangle of mind-boggling parody-layering. If you watch the promo (here), you’ll see what I mean. It’s pure love, hater-style. And that’s the only love I know.

Where to begin? I saw an ad for this in the subway and thought it was some strange parody of Morning Latte from Saturday Night Live. I see something new and amazing each time I look at their expressions.
