For once not a hater.
I didn’t have high expectations for the Arcade Fire at the United Palace Theater last night. I thought I hated that place. And even though I’m into the new record–it took me awhile to let it into my heart but I really do love it now!–I couldn’t help being a little backlashy.
Boy, was I ever wrong. I can’t remember the last time I felt so amazing at a rock show. I don’t think I can describe it without embarrassing myself.
If you’re at Radio City right now, lucky/fuck you.

[I stole that picture from some guy’s Flickr.]
Here’s something funny: I had a major girl-crush on the violinist. She’s on the right, with the red shoes, and the legs.
I’m not a big one for girl-crushes. Stevie Nicks on the back (not the front!) of Rumours is the only other one I can call up at the moment.
But the violin girl, jeez! Brilliant.
In between the weeping and trembling, I was staring at her all agog, like, NO, SERIOUSLY: CAN I PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE YOU? PLEASE?

It’s the violin what does it, not the gal.

But how can we know the violinist from the violin?
