Meatloaf? Seriously.

When you make meatloaf like I do/did and it is unbearably delicious then you will also make meatloaf sandwiches like 5 times a day? OK, three times. But still.

Oh do you want to know about meatloaf? Same as it ever was, and also, half a grated onion, a grated carrot, half a grated zucchini, and the other stuff. No ketchup. It’s not that kind of loaf. But thanks for asking.

I MADE 2 LOAVES AND OHMYGOD I CAN’T STOP EATING MEATLOAF SANDWICHES! WHY SHOULD I? I WILL DIVULGE THE SECRET RECIPE FOR A MODICUM OF BEGGING, YOUR STRULY, LEFTER HOOKER.

Pistol is making some kind soup with bacon right now and it smells magical. She once put bacon strips on top of some loafs which was a good idea except it was made with the tainted beef Shakey picked up at his baby food job. Woof!

Also, could it really be true the bacon gives you the Bad Thing?

Everyone knows the secret to Meatloaf’s success is Jim Steinman. Awhile ago a radio station held a contest where listeners called in and described their ideal date with Jim Steinman. According to a friend of mine who heard the responses, the best one was:

“Jim and I go for a nice meal. When we get done, he invites me back to his apartment where his cats immediately run up to me and purr. Jim says ‘Wow, my cats like you and normally don’t like anybody!’ It’s a love story for the 21st century.”
