I’m looking for a new bed. Boringness follows. Allons-y?

This is the bed I want, sort of. Probably in black, though.

Things are wrong with it, of course, because this is America, and nothing can be perfect because of capitalism. Anyway, question marks:

I eat meat and everything, even though I want to change that someday, and I wear leather shoes and el vintage leather jacketo but a leather bed? Is that gross? How many cows, etc.?

I want a footboard?

It is super-oversized and even a full bed would hardly fit in my room? Not to mention it costs many thousands of dollars?

Sigh. What about this one, then?

Sloping headboard for reading-in-bed comfort? Check. Footboard? Check. Available in a different fabric? Check. Available, though? Sorry, Costello. That bed is last year’s model, and therefore discontinued. Try again.

This one is kind of…boring? I guess the bun feet are okay. It’s a little girly for me, but maybe that’s the pillows and the lace coverlet. It’s reasonably priced, and it’s from Ballard Designs, and I think their stuff is decent quality. Although now I’m wondering if I even want an upholstered bed. How do you clean it?

Why do I even torture myself by posting the above picture? That bed only comes in a king. Figures! If I could afford it, I could also afford to have a bed custom made, and this post would be unnecessary. But look at the perfect slope of that headboard! Look at those feet! Here’s another angle. You can see how nice the lines are.

Okay, search one last time. Try some different terms–mix it up. Go beyond “upholstered bed” and “leather bed” and “world’s most awesome bed.”

What about “angled headboard”?
